Music: LFO - Every Other Time
Remember that time Tommy lost 19,000 colones at the casino in under an hour? I do. Doofus.
Yesterday, Steph L., Emily, Liz, Jen and I spent the afternoon at the beach in Puntarenas. We have a long weekend for Dia de las Culturas, but none of us really had the money for a big adventure. We were going to go rafting, but we had to cancel because not enough people got back to Jen in time. Anyway, the beach was kind of a spur of the moment thing, but it was nice, just what I needed. Well, minus the epic sunburn now covering the entire back half of my body, haha.
Later that night, when all I wanted to do was curl up in bed (with Danny, if possible, haha), Tommy starts yelling outside my window: "Gringa!! Get down here. We're going to the casino!" Tommy, it's already 9:30. I want to go to bed. "NO! You and me and Daniel are going to the casino. Put on a pair of shoes and let's go."
So that's how I ended up in the Fiesta Casino of Alajuela at one in the morning, watching Tommy lose his last 5,000 playing Pai Gow, whatever that is. Sometimes, I love my life. :)
