Music: ALSO GAY!!
All rigt, I'll admit from the start that it's been a rough day. Last night, a certain Nicaraguan shopkeep flipped out because I like women. Needless to say, I'm not exactly at my peak right now.
However, the day wasn't all bad. Instead of having Spanish class, we went to INBio Parque, which is in Sto. Domingo, so Kate, Vall, and I walked there. Basically, it's a biological reserve designed to teach children about biodiversity and caring for the earth. It's got an example of a farm and a self-sufficient house with an electric car. It's also sort of a zoo - they have snakes, frogs, butterflies, caimans, turtles, etc. And the mini farm has a petting zoo, with bunnies and goats and chickens for cuddling and loving (and not killing and eating).
Also, my Cultural Identity professor moved the date I have to turn in my final project from next Tuesday to three weeks from now. Score. And, I earned 15.000 colones for doing something that wouldn't be considered especially ethical in the states, but here in Costa Rica isn't all that out of the ordinary. Beach weekend? I think so.
Pura vida,
Sarah
